Roots.

Roots are long sqiggily things that
feed trees. They suck up the water, out of the ground.

Tree trunk.

The tree trunk is at the bottom of a tree. It helps to keep it up.

Grass.

Grass grows everywhere! It is green.
some grass is edible.

Cherry blossom trees.

Cherry blossom trees are very pretty. I like the white ones best! I have one by my door.

Flowers.

Flowers grow on trees. They are very pretty. Here is a picture of one!

Leaves.

Leaves are all different shapes and sizes. They are green in the summer and different colours in the Autumn.

seeds.

Seeds grow from a plant, to a tree. Birds like seeds. Some are big, some are small.

Branches

Branches are on the top of trees. Sometimes, they fall off. People collect them for the fire.

Lichen.

Lichen grows on trees. It's a sign of clean air when there's lots of lichen.
I like lichen!

tree sap.

Tree sap is liquid that comes out of trees. Maple syrup is made from the sap from the maple tree.
I like maple syrup on my pancakes.

Tree rings

You can tell how old a tree is by counting it's rings.Every year, the tree gets another ring. I think this is a tree-mendous way to tell how old a tree is!
I think this tree is about 10 years old.

twigs.

Twigs are all over the ground. They are all different shapes and sizes. Sometimes you pick them up for the fire.

Trees on the Green

This is some trees from my Green. They are the baby trees. In the spring, the flowers are really nice. I love trees!

Aoife's Tree

Aoife is my best friend. This is a picture of her tree. I think it is a crab apple tree. I took it when I was out on my bike.

renville

Renville park is a place with lots of trees. when you go into the woods, the trees shelter you. I like Renville. There is a castle at Renville and it's really pretty. There is an old cottage beside it, and me and my friend used to think it was haunted! Here is a picture!

On my green, there are some baby trees, and people keep climbing on them! And one boy even broke a branch! I wish people would take more care of trees.
